Bread Making

I've been needing to make bread for a few days. I hate to run out, it's so yummy. Allen helped me today. He was very interested in watching the wheat turn into flour in the grinder. He liked the smell of the new flour and noticed how warm it was. Then he was quite fascinated with the way the mixer turned the water, yeast, honey and flour into dough. Coming back later to find the bread over the top of the bowl was also fun to see. We talked about how making bread is kind of like science. Learning about the yeast was interesting. Of course, the best part is eating the bread hot out of the oven.
