After we left upstate New York last summer, we planned to spend a week in the city. Our daughter-in-law has family living in New Jersey, just across the river, who generously invited us to stay at their home. This blue house was our home-away-from home for the week. Vivian was in Spain and Luiz stayed in his parents' home across the street. Vivian and Luiz own this house and live on the second and third floors. Another family rents the first floor. The house next door is occupied by three families. We were surprised when we went inside to find a thoroughly modern, beautifully decorated interior. The home was lovely and we could not have felt more welcome.
I used my April Counterfeit Challenge kit and based my layout on this sketch at Get Your Sketch On. The clouds are from my friend Kylie and DeeDee's Etsy shop. I made the sun's rays by punching a circle in yellow paper and then punching a star over the hole, so that only the points were cut.
Thanks for looking and leaving a comment!
