Two new layouts for Lizzy's album

I was searching for some patterned paper in my 8.5 by 11" stash for a different project when I saw this pretty piece. I remember that this came in a CK magazine years ago as a bonus gift. I've had these two photos on my table all week with some others I've been scrapping and thought the colors and design in this paper were perfect.

I wanted this to be fairly monochromatic, so I added just a touch of kraft and brown. I gave the bird a sparkly blue eye!

Ribbon and brad from SU, thickers, flair, journal spot from LSS, maya road envelope, round journal spot from stash, die cut paper from a SL kit. Flower from an old SG kit.

My friend Val has been using a lot of mist on her layouts lately and I think she is a fabulous scrapper. I decided to try it myself on this layout. Now that I've done it once, I think I would be a little braver and use a little more mist another time. But I'm happy with the results. I was lucky to have the right colors of mist to match these photos!

The glittery pink flowers are on the other side of the pink houndstooth patterned paper. The butterfly came from the dollar store - three in a pack - such a deal. Circle flowers and dark ribbon from SU, light ribbon SEI, thickers, journal spot from LSS and stash.

Thanks for looking!

Really like how both are so different and yet so lovely - really like the cluster of embellies and lines under the photos on the top LO.

Those butterflies are definitely a gorgeous bargain - saw my first for the year in the garden today.

These are both gorgeous - but I really love the design and colors of the sand writing !! The kraft and blue go so well together and you are awesome to use up some older stash!! Beautiful!!

The blue and kraft one is gorgeous. Love the bird and how you used the envelope flap. The photos are great. On the other one the mist looks great and love how you are making your own flowers.

Love the pp on the first LO... very shabby chic feel to it. And I love how you clustered a group of photos on the second LO... I like to have a lot of photos!
