If you have a cat, you know how the same old things always seem fun, exciting and new to them. Our Smudge is constantly intrigued by everyday things that are so familiar to her. Watching her fascination with everything reminds me to try to look at life with a fresh perspective. These photos were taken on an average evening at our house. Lizzy was on the couch, I was in the chair in the other side of the room. Smudge was at her vantage point on the other end of the couch - just sitting there, minding her own business, keeping her eye on us. Suddenly, Lizzy decided to try to disturb Smudge by plopping down next to her. Smudge responded at first by acting like she didn't care and appearing to be bored. When Lizzy didn't go away, she took a closer look. Finally she decided to investigate more thoroughly by sniffing Lizzy's hair. These photos tell an everyday story, from a cat's perspective - everything here is new - somehow.
