A truly Bountiful basket!

I have to say that I think the baskets are getting fuller every week! Just look at this haul! For the record - I got an extra bunch of spinach for going early and helping. Also, someone didn't want her tomatoes and I was standing there when she said it, so she gave them to me. But everything else was in the basket. I am so excited about the parsnips! My grandmother was a fabulous cook. She grew parsnips in her garden and would fix them sometimes when we came for dinner. Eating parsnips reminds me of all the good times we had around her dinner table and of how much I love and miss her.
See that pineapple? I have already cut it up and put it in the fridge. It is yummy and sweet. It was hard to put the lid on the bowl!
More pomegranates. We had fun with the ones from last week. I think we'll try these in recipes this week instead of just eating them. Between the yams and the tomatoes are pears. They are wrapped in tissue, so they might be hard to identify in this picture.

This is today's Mexican pack. I have already made a huge batch of tomatillo salsa from this. I used the tomatillos, limes, jalapenos, cilantro, green onions, garlic. I added avocados last time, but these are not ripe enough yet. These limes are bigger than the last ones, they are very juicy! I plan to stuff the gray squash.

Terry loves this bread. I captured a picture of the label so you can see what is in it - whole grains, no added fat.

Hoping to open a site in Boise by November 6. Just waiting to hear back from the school principal for permission to use the property. Cross your fingers for us!

I'll cross my fingers for you.. My sister has been doing this awhile and loves it, so I'd be excited to have the opportunity to do it here without all the driving in the early morning hours.
