A little water goes a long way . . .

I worked an event last week and, as a thank you gift, was given this plant that had been sitting on my table. I don't know what it is, but it's pretty and I think it deserves a chance to live.

I should point out that I have a poinsettia in the house that looks as good as the day we brought it home in November. That is an amazing plant.

This one looked a little thirsty yesterday.

Here it is a little while after having a drink.

Much better.

Next to the plant are a bunch of birthday cards and some birthday presents. My birthday was last Thursday. I haven't opened the presents yet. Sigh. Haven't been in the mood. I've been feeling sort of like the first picture of the plant - droopy.

By the way, if you know what kind of plant this is, please tell me.

I think that is called a "lucky plant"! Lucky because it lives with you and not me! I just dumped some plants in the woods thinking maybe they stand a better chance without me. ;-(

Hope your mood picks up and you are back to your chipper self soon.

I'm glad you decided the pretty plant deserved a chance to live. May your mood perk up as quickly and easily as the plant did. ;)

Glad you got such a pretty plant and yes I do know what it is but can't remember the name... probably remember in the middle of the night.

Hope you find a drink to refresh you soon.

Pretty plant! Sadly all of my indoor plants are fake simply because I can't remember to water them. :( Glad your perked up! :)

Missus Wookie helped me solve the mystery. This is a Cyclamen, and what I read about it said it needs a lot of water. That is true! After I took the second photo, I noticed the flowers were standing straight up on their stems. I thought it had perked up before, but it got even perkier later, LOL!

I'm like the others - I have a very brown thumb. I love plants - but I seem to kill them all off!!
