After last week's quilting bee, enough fabric was collected to make more quilts. Yesterday at church, I was given two sets of fabric. I think this one was made up of all the remnants that had been used to make other quilts - nothing really goes together. Ah, a challenge! Since I had more than enough squares, I cut some into triangles and came up with this. Ta da!
This was the second set of squares. The hardest part was deciding how to place the blocks. With an even number of rows - both directions - and an irregular number of each patterned block, arranging was a little tricky. We will get together again this Tuesday evening to tie these and the others that were handed out yesterday. I think we will have thirteen quilts in all. I still have the other half of the triangle pieces. I will sew those together after a while, and they will probably be big enough for a baby quilt. One thing's for sure, it will definitely be gender neutral!

would this be made using remnants from the fabric store? how much? i know how little you sleep and how much you sew, can i commission another one for you to donate to the haiti project?
Yeah Tricia! These two look great! I sewed two this weekend as well. I really liked one that was red white and blue, but the second one was kind of a dud. I love the one you did with the traingles...so fun!
