Thrift Store Finds

I went looking for vintage ric rac and trims yesterday and came up empty. But I did find this bunch of lovely stuff. Yards and yards of lacy trim, lots of felt and some odds and ends of ribbon and cording. The spool of ribbon was brand new.

The shop had a lot of these doilies. The larger ones came in a package of three and the smaller ones were in a package of four. Not knowing for sure what I was going to do with them, I didn't want to buy too many. But I was comfortable splurging on two for 50 cents each. They are cotton, very soft.

Everything you see here (plus two new packages of curly doll hair and two straw doll hats) cost me $3.50. I put the hair and hats with a puppet making kit I am holding for my grandchildren to make. They will be a nice addition.

So that I don't just stash and horde this stuff, I'll check back later and show you what I make!
