Pink, gold & vintage - my luck holds out
Yesterday I went to another thrift store looking for vintage trims. I didn't find anything, so I asked the clerk if they ever got stuff like that donated. She said usually not, but it just so happened that they had a bunch at the moment. A local quilting store was closing and they invited some non-profits to come and get items for their shops. I'm not sure why a quilting store would have this kind of lace, but I felt like it was my lucky day. I bought yards and yards of different kinds of lace and the beads on this layout. The lace was wrapped around cards so I just bought the entire cards. Not all of them. But almost. I added some buttons from my stash and the doily and lace flower I made from my last thrift store find.
My friend Kylie asked how much we spent on each layout. Not something I ever thought about before, but I can tell you that because of the great thrift store pieces I used, this one was probably about $2.00 considering the cost of cardstock, photo printing and adhesive.
