Rambling

I haven't been blogging for a while. I miss it. So today I'm just going to ramble a little. Here I am last Wednesday, day before Thanksgiving. I'm finding that with my current optical prescription, I get along better with my glasses than with contacts. My eyes are correcting themselves and the difference between near and far is smaller than it's been. I love this new computer with its fun little camera!

After Thanksgiving dinner, we continued our annual ritual of going to the movies. We saw Fantastic Mr Fox.

I'm back in the insomnia cycle. Yesterday I was wide awake at 4:00 so I got up. Today I was wide awake at 2:00. Tried to sleep but at 3:00 gave it up as a lost cause and got up. I was full of energy so I buzzed through the house doing whatever housework I could without making noise and waking Terry. Whew! I accomplished a lot. By 4:30 I sat down to check my email and other social media. After a while I felt sleepy so I headed for the family room with a quilt and a movie. Sure enough, I didn't get very far before I found my sleep groove. I napped for an hour. But since I missed the movie, Terry and I took our breakfast downstairs and watched the movie while we ate.

Since that time, I have finished my quilt. As soon as I find someone to quilt this thing, I will bind it with the green fabric in the border. I'm happy with it. It was fun and a nice diversion.

But now - I'm ready to start scrapping again. Look at all these pictures I have from Lizzy! But, shhh, don't tell her. It's a surprise for when she gets home next summer.

Smudge says 'hi.' She's been helping David and Yazzy with their quilt.

Nice reading the post and catching up!!! I can't sleep at night sometimes too so I know how you feel, although I usually just roll all over the bed and get flustered. I like that you go ahead and accept it and make it into a positive.
